The latest version of Körber’s PAS-X Manufacturing Execution System adds expanded shopfloor capabilities, deployment automation, infrastructure efficiency improvements and more.

Körber has released PAS-X MES 3.4.2, the latest version of its Manufacturing Execution System for pharmaceutical and life science manufacturers. The update is designed to improve operational performance while reducing infrastructure and maintenance requirements.
The release expands shopfloor capabilities for pharma production environments, including cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Features include support for Chain of Identity, Chain of Custody, material traceability, and mobile photo documentation.
PAS-X SmartInstall automates deployments, updates, validation checks, and reporting. According to Körber, the Kubernetes Operators-based installation process can reduce installation effort to a few hours while increasing system availability.
PAS-X MES 3.4.2 reduces infrastructure requirements through migration of core services to GraalVM, a runtime environment used to optimize Java applications. Körber reported memory consumption reductions of up to 50% and improved startup times.
Körber also released PAS-X Data Access 3.2 alongside PAS-X MES 3.4.2. The update doubles the scope of trusted, reusable manufacturing data available to data and analytics teams, providing additional context across processes, materials, products, and sites.
The latest PAS-X MES release includes observability tools that provide unified metrics, logs, and traces across application, platform, and infrastructure layers. Körber said the tools are intended to support faster issue detection and resolution.
The release also adds warehouse and material management capabilities designed to improve material request and supply workflows, strengthen Warehouse Management System integration, and increase access to operational data.
PAS-X MES 3.4.2 is available for on-premise, private cloud, and fully managed SaaS deployment models.
